I am thrilled to report I am on my 3rd consecutive day of being on track! I plan to finish the day strong. I have already gone for a short walk during work because I know tonight will be busy.
I didn’t get my 10 minutes of exercise in yesterday, but met my other goals. I get two days off of exercise anyway, so it’s all good.
I have lost 6 pounds in 2 days. I know it’s probably all fluid retention, but it feels great to have it off! I was feeling extremely bloated and puffy. I am back to my 30 pound total loss. This is what I want to maintain until the end of the month, so I need to lose a few more before the temptations really hit.
Holiday treats are already showing up in the office. Today it’s Godiva chocolates. OMG I could eat them all! But then I’d feel disgusting. Luckily, they are in our lunch room up one floor and down a long hall. I am going to avoid that room at all costs. I am feeling strong today so I will go with it.
I made a quick run to the grocery store last night while Cameron was at Girl Scouts. I didn’t have much time, but knew I needed to pick up a few healthy items or today’s diet would be disastrous. A bunch of spinach was an impulse purchase. I’ve been hesitant to put it in my favorite smoothie, but decided to suck it up and try it this morning. I really liked it and couldn’t taste the spinach at all! Plus it felt great to start my day with some veggies. Don’t let the greenish tint fool you…it was delicious!
Here is my basic recipe, although measurements are approximate.
The pizza aftermath continues. I am having a hard time getting back on track. This is exactly why I need to be more strict with myself. I can’t have meals like that if I want to reach my goals. At least not yet. Plus I am a bigtime emotional eater, so last night was anything but healthy.
This morning I woke up and wanted something sweet. But it needs to be healthy, so I threw together a chocolate peanut butter smoothie. It turns out a bit different every time because I don’t measure, but here is my basic recipe.
I also want to try this with a bit of spinach added, but haven’t yet. This is also my smoothie of choice when I want ice cream. It’s chocolately and yummy and the same consistency, so it really helps with the craving.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie
1 frozen banana
1 Tbsp PB2
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 cup almond milk
